Mental well-being does not mean being happy all the time, and it does not mean you won’t experience negative or painful emotions, such as grief, or loss, which are a part of normal life. However, mindfulness can help you relate to the world, people and yourself in a way that increases resilience and reduces stress in life.
Movement through yoga poses is a form of mindfulness meditation and has been found to promote mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. In addition to all the mental health benefits of mindfulness, mindful yoga movement also builds strength, flexibility and balance in the body, while reducing the risk of injury.
Making positive life changes is always worth it but almost never easy.

Balance, Peace & Ease in Life
Stress is killing people. Modern living in western society can be fast paced and relentless, with people placing unattainable expectations on themselves across all aspects of life. Work life is often characterised by tight deadlines, mandated cost cutting targets year over year, and many other workload pressures. It is little wonder that there is a growing amount of research suggesting that between 70-90% of the illnesses a GP doctor sees in any given day are in some way related to stress and that stress, depression or anxiety account for approximately half of all working days lost due to ill health.
But there is good news. It doesn’t have to be like this. There is another way of being and living a life of balance, peace and ease within the busyness and chaos of the modern world. Mindfulness and yoga are well established and scientifically proven methods in reducing stress and cultivating a healthier way of relating to the world around us.
For me, finding mindfulness was like being handed a “how to be a happy human being” manual. It led me on a path to self-discovery, empowerment and ultimately living a more full and happy life enabled by practical mindfulness tools, including yoga, to cultivate more contentment, joy and freedom in my life. Having worked as a Chartered Accountant for over 20 years, mainly in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industry, I experienced first- hand the pressures, demands & stresses that these dynamic and fast-moving working environments can bring to employee’s lives and the subsequent negative consequences on health and relationships.
Now, having travelled on my own healing journey from depression, stress and burnout and along the way having qualified as a Professional Life Coach, a Yoga Teacher and a Mindfulness Instructor, I feel I can help people navigate these work/life challenges to achieve their desired goals, personally and professionally to enjoy more health, happiness & fulfilment in their lives.
